Struggle With Purpose

This is the show I took to the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. I performed it every day from the 5th to the 26th of August.

I’m hoping to put on a gig in Glasgow in late 2017/early 2018 where I’ll do the show and release a video and audio recording of it.

The set list sometimes changed a bit but this is what I did most days.

1. Unserious Dissidents of the Avant-garde
2. Affordable Vintage Existence
3. omm
4. Cum on the Carpet
5. We Are Snowing
6. Blow It
7. 17 Hours
8. I Am Letting Them Grow
9. His(s)

Unserious Dissidents…, Blow It, and I Am Letting Them Grow will all probably go on the mixtape thing I’ve been intermittently working on for ages, although they’ll take very different forms.

We Are Snowing and His(s) are both from my first album, The First Small Steps to Tragedy, but I completely changed all of the music for His(s) and also altered the lyrics slightly.

Cum on the Carpet (a standalone track I completed in 2015) and omm (a song with music by Harry Gorski-Brown recorded for his band, Oxtered to the Bothy’s debut album) were performed without any musical accompaniment.
